ASPARAGUS
Schrobenhausen Aspararagus (German: Spargel) is characterized by its exceptional tenderness and is popular with both local and international consumers because of its typical, nutty taste.
Schrobenhausen Asparagus
The noble asparagus from the Schrobenhausen region is of exceptionally high quality and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide, particularly in top restaurants. This is made possible by the special microclimate and the sandy soils in this small growing region. Adherence to quality and origin regulations is monitored across all stages, from production through processing to sales. This is ensured by the “tested quality from Bavaria” quality control system.
THE EU-PROTECTED BAVARIAN DELICACY
Asparagus from Schrobenhausen is officially recognised by the EU as a protected designation of geographical origin.
This ensures not only that the asparagus originates in Schrobenhausen, but that it is also carefully processed. Our asparagus is not watered after the harvest for the purpose of storage, as it would thereby lose flavor and nutrition. Instead, directly after the harvest it is brought into a warehouse in which it is shock-cooled at 1 to 2 ° C at high humidity.
